Porto Potenza Picena is a small village of about 9.500 inhabitants that has become a pleasant seaside resort thanks to its beaches of fine sand and its smart seafront promenade. It is the best place for families with children and people who wants to relax on the beach, the sea is clean and easy to reach on foot. Its 5-kilometre coast is mostly characterised by long sandy beaches and shallow water, a perfect setting for pleasant walks on the shoreline. Along the seafront promenade, you can find a whole range of chalets and restaurants, where you can taste the delicious local recipes directly on the sea. Numerous shows, concerts, re-enactments, markets, festivals and lots of music animate the summer evenings both in the centre and on the waterfront. In July the celebrations in honour of St. Anna, patron saint, create a particularly lively and convivial atmosphere and end with fireworks on the sea that light up the night, attracting thousands of visitors. In addition to sports activities on the beach, the presence of numerous sports facilities allow you to practise other activities such as basketball, tennis, five-a-side football, bowls, hockey, cycling, baseball and golf. A foot and bike path connects the centre of the village and the Laghetti Park (Ponds Park). Another one follows the river Potenza, crosses five municipalities and reaches Macerata, crossing the rolling hills of the Marche region.
