The town has two parts: the upper and the lower part. The upper part is characterised by narrow streets, colourful small houses and a wide belvedere overlooking the sea and its small tourist harbour. The lower part goes from the tourist harbour to Marcelli with a succession of beach resorts and free beaches. Numana and its coastline has received the prestigious title of Blue Flag for years thanks to the beauty, comfort and cleanliness of its beaches.
