Numana, also named the Queen of the Conero, is an ancient fishing village at the foot of Mount Conero. It represents the correct mix between ancient and modern. Would you like same examples? Here they are. The modern sanctuary housing the old wooden crucifix, the modern balcony with the Belvedere of The Tower Restaurant and the ancient remains of the medieval arch called Tower. The town has two parts: the upper and the lower part. The upper part is characterised by narrow streets, colourful small houses and a wide belvedere overlooking the sea and its small tourist harbour. The lower part goes from the tourist harbour to Marcelli with a succession of beach resorts and free beaches. Numana and its coastline has received the prestigious title of Blue Flag for years thanks to the beauty, comfort and cleanliness of its beaches.
